Night Buddies Book Review

Have you read any of the Night Buddies books yet with your children, or has your children read them on their own? They are sure to please and delight.  There are currently two Night Buddies books.  They are full of adventure and excitement that every child, at any age, is sure to enjoy.

The Night Buddies books are about a boy who isn't going to sleep.  Then a crocodile appears under his bed.  They go on adventures, all the while being able to become invisible, chasing down enemies and mishaps around them.  All of their adventures take place at nighttime when the boy, John, can't sleep.  In the second book, Night Buddies Impostors and One Far-Out Flying Machine, red crocodiles appear all over the city causing confusion and mayhem.  John and the crocodile are the right match to stop the red crocodiles imposters. 

This story is so much fun that the reader will become so engaged in the story they won't want to put it down. If you know a young reader who enjoys adventure and fantasy stories then the book Night Buddies Impostors and One Far-Out Flying Machine would be an excellent pick for them.  My son really enjoyed having this book read to him.  I would highly recommend the Night Buddies books.

 

Free Thanksgiving Activity Book

I've just added a free Thanksgiving book to my teachers pay teachers store.

This book would be great for pre-k through first grade. It allows the student to practice writing the word on. They can also color the book.
 

Bowls With Borders

I had a hard time for several days deciding what colors I wanted to make the bowls with borders quilt. I then decided to make is somewhat neutral so it can go in my kitchen which I just painted. My kitchen colors are tan, black, and white. Therefore, I ended up making my quilt with mostly black and white colors. I did want to add a splash of color so I also used some green on each of the bowls.


At first, I wasn't sure if the black and white worked. I did realize that I needed to alternate a light bowl (mostly white) with a dark bowl (mostly black). This is only the second project that I have paper pieced and I was so happy that it was easy and quite enjoyable to do. I ended up stacking a total of twelve bowls and decided this was the perfect size to hang in my kitchen. I might make another one sometime in the future and use some bright and vibrant colors, but for now I love this one!

How to Make Kale Chips

I have quite a bit of kale in my garden and I've been trying to find new ways to eat it. I recently discovered kale chips and let me tell you they're superb! If you haven't made them, you should! They melt in your mouth and are not only delicious, but are good for you too.


KALE CHIPS:
kale, washed and patted dry
sea Salt
garlic powder, optional

Tear kale into bite size pieces. Spray with non-stick cooking spray or olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and garlic powder. Bake at 325 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until crispy. Enjoy!
