Santa's Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas Book Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review the book Santa's Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas.  I can honestly say that I love this book!  I have a weakness for children's books, but this is a must have book for the upcoming holidays.
Santa's Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas.

The story is about Santa and his day just isn't going right because he washed his suit with paint.  So, since his suit was a different color it changed everything along the way.  It turns out it was all a dream.
The story is very cute and easy for children to follow along.  The pictures are also wonderful.
Santa's Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right Night Before Christmas is sure to be a favorite with all young children.  I would highly recommend the book for a gift or to get before Christmas so it can be read over and over.

The Blue Baboon in the Big Baloon

I was recently given the opportunity to review the book The Blue Baboon in the Big Balloon.  The minute we received the package with the book in it we tore it open and began reading it.  My boys were instantly taken in with the book.  In fact, my youngest begged me to read it to him two more times in the same sitting.
If my children beg for me to read a book over and over then I know it's a good book, which this one was, at least for my sons.

The book is catchy and has a lot of rhyming throughout.  That's what made it so much fun for my four year old son.  It's about a blue baboon who lives in a big balloon.  A bunch of the baboons friends go along for a ride to the moon.  When they got to the moon they met some racoons.  While on the moon they had quite an adventure too.  The book is funny, engaging, and delightful to read for little ones.  I would recommend The Blue Baboon in the Big Balloon if you're looking for a fun book for kids.

Dinosaurs 3D Book Review

I have a four year old boy who lives and breathes dinosaurs. He even thinks he's a t-rex and I can hear him roaring throughout the day doing a variety of things that little boys do. He believes that dinosaurs have saved him multiple times and our next pet will be a dinosaur. I'm pretty sure we'll need a bigger back yard if we ever get a dinosaur for a pet.

Since I have a boy who loves dinosaurs so much I was so excited to learn about the book Dinosaurs 3D.  We have read a lot of dinosaur books, and when I say a lot, I really do mean a lot.  Every time we go to the library we check out at least five different dinosaur books and read them over and over.  Needless to say, for me I get a little tired of reading about dinosaurs, but the little guy loves them.

Dinosaurs 3D is a great book if you have a dinosaur lover.  The book covers the history of dinosaurs, different time periods, the different dinosaurs, and tons of other dinosaur facts.  The book is very informative and educational which is what I love about it.  I love to read books to my kids where they're actually going to learn some information that will help their minds grow.

Dinosaurs 3D is of course a 3D book.  It comes with two pairs of glasses which is great if you have two kids, and also a back up pair in case one gets lost.  One of my children cannot see 3D images, but the book is still enjoyable for him.  The pictures for him are a little fuzzy because you need to be able to see 3D in order for them to come into focus, but the book still has enough information to hold his attention.  He doesn't need the images to be perfect for him to enjoy learning all of the dinosaur facts that are packed into this book.

So, even though the book is in 3D it's a perfect fit for my boys being the dinosaur lovers they are.  I would highly recommend Dinosaurs 3D if you know a dinosaur lover like I do.

I Finally Did It

I finally did it! I created my very first set of clipart.  I recently did a long term subbing job and rewarded myself with a brand new iPad. So, now I can make all the clipart I want!  Also, it was a great excuse to finally get an iPad.  It's been really fun creating the clipart and I know the possibilities are endless.  I can't wait to use them.  I make a lot of things for my own kids and also for some of my subbing jobs too, depending on how long I'm there and the teachers.  I love using fun images to create and design new things that will get the students super excited about learning.

This first set is a weather bundle and comes with 40 images total.  This includes 25 color and 15 black and white.  They're allin png format so you can layer them easily.  If you're interested in buying them check them out in my Teacher Pay Teachers Store.

Fireflies and Shooting Stars Book Review

Recently I was given the opportunity to review the book Fireflies and Shooting Stars.  I was so excited because my six year old loves chapter books.  When I say chapter books I mean chapter books that I can read to him.  So I jumped at the opportunity to read the chapter book Fireflies and Shooting Stars to him.  Usually my three year old has no interest in chapter books.

They're just too long for him and not enough pictures for him.  This was not the case with this book.  The story was so engaging my boys begged me to read more every night.  Also, there were so many wonderful and colorful pictures it kept their attention the entire time.  They loved all the illustrations throughout the book.

The story in Fireflies and Shooting Stars is about a little firefly, Enzo, who doesn't have his light.  He learns throughout the book that even though you're different in one way or another we're really all the same.  He finds his purpose in life to help others achieve great things.  The book has a wonderful plot and was very inspiring.

The book also came with a CD of music to go with the songs throughout the book.  I didn't entirely fall in love with the songs, but my kids did seem to enjoy them.  I would highly recommend Fireflies and Shooting Stars to everyone.
